Underlining the need to separate amongst “deep sense of being” and ‘religion’, Prime priest Narendra Modi today said that it was “lamentable” that a few people connect the two.

“Tragically that a few people interface “Adhyatma” with religion. They are altogether different,” PM Modi said while tending to a program to stamp the century festivities of the Yogoda Satsang Society.

Commending Paramahansa Yogananda, the organizer of the Yogoda Satsanga Society, PM Modi said that however he cleared out Indian soil to spread his message to the world, Yogi Paramahansa Yogananda stayed associated with India constantly.

Yogoda Satsanga Society, a non-benefit religious association, was established by Paramahansa Yogananda in 1917.
